September Birchbox

I was dreading opening up this month’s Birchbox after last month’s big fail.  I wondered if this box is better or just as bad as last time.

Lifestyle extras not pictured

To my relief, September’s box is slightly better than last month. This month's box is geared toward fall beauty trends.

Benefit Cosmetics foamingly clean facial wash and refined finish facial polish. Part of their b.right! Radiant Skincare line, each comes in a 0.1oz. packet. Judging from the size, I think this can give me 3 to 5 uses before it runs out. I’ve been wanting to try this since I saw it in store about 2 years ago. Since I was trying to use up other skincare products, I decided to wait it out until I was in need for new skincare products. Thank goodness I waited!

Status Update

Color Club Birchbox Custom Nail Polish
Birchbox teamed up with Color Club to create several custom shade nail polish inspired by the runway fall 2012. The color selections were Put A Pin In It, Status Update, Tweet Me, Insta- This. From the colors I see online, Put A Pin In It seems to be a metallic pink sahde, Tweet Me is a greenish-yellow color, Insta-This is a mix of blue and purple notes (looks more blue to me), and the Status Update is a dark grey. I got the Statues Update in my box and so far it is looks like something I would use regularly.

Nexxus Pro- Mend Split End Treatment System
Shampoo, conditioner, and a leave in cream. Enough said.

Twistband
Birchbox Custom lace hair tie. This is the second twistband I’ve gotten in my birchbox and the first one was disappointing as it started to lose its elasticity after a few uses.

Youngblood Mineral Primer
A  clear gel primer with the claim of being naturally rich in nutrients, vitamins, and minerals, this sample is in a generous 0.17 fl. oz.

Mighty Tea Leaf Company
As part of this month’s lifestyle extra, there are three packets of tea samplers- Chamomile Citrus, Green Tea Tropica, and Vanilla Bean. Can’t wait to try the Vanilla Bean.

Other extras were a Tristan Prettyman digital download and a $25 off $75 purchase at Madewell. :/

All in all, this month’s box is better than last month! Please leave me a feedback and let me know what you think about these products or what you received in your box. Happy browsing!
