Senna Mineral Eyeshadow Trio in Cocoa Nudes

Matte neutral cream, taupe, and rich chocolate are love at first sight. This is my first introduction to Senna cosmetics and so far this little baby is impressive. I honestly would have never considered trying any Senna products if I saw it in store. Thankfully, Glossybox was able to introduce this brand to me.

Oops! My nail accidentally scraped into the taupe as I was opening the lid.

This trio eyeshadow in Cocoa Nudes has a beautiful matte finish and is highly pigmented. A little dab with my brush is all I need to create an everyday wearable look. You can also build up the shadow to help create an intense look. With primer, these colors lasted me a good 6-10 hours before any wear can be seen. This may not seem like a big deal but with my previous experiences with eyeshadows wearing off after 4 hours, this is definitely a big deal.
Neutral Cream, Taupe, and Rich Chocolate
Neutral tones are my favorite colors for a classic makeup look and this trio best represents the best colors for a complete look.

Senna Mineral Eyeshadow Trio in Cocoa Nudes retails for $24.00 at www.sennacosmetics.com

August Birchbox

Hello readers!
I’m bringing you today a post that is a few days overdue.
Today’s post looking at the contents of my August Birchbox.
I really like Birchbox and believe that their price can’t be beat compared with other subscription services. I understand $10 is not much and we have been pretty spoiled with the last few products we’ve gotten in our boxes that undoubtedly exceeds $10 worth. With that said, I can tell you that I was not flattered with this month’s box. With the short time that I’ve been with Birchbox, this month’s box is the worst.

The theme we have this month is Beauty School

First of, the samples I got did not correspond to the products listed on my card. The products listed on my card are Beauty Fixation Makeup Remover, Comodynes Hydrating Tanning Face Moisturizing Summer Glow, Comodynes Self-Tanning Towelettes, DDF Brightening Cleanser, and Juicy Couture Viva la Juicy La Fleur. Out of the five products listed, I received two (one of which is the same brand, just different function).

Here’s what I received instead.

Stila All Day HD beauty balm, foundation, and concealer sample, Wei pomegranate buffing beads (2 small sample packets), Wei purifying mud mask, Viva la Juicy La Fleur, and Beauty Fixation, and Schick Hydro Silk Razoer. I was suppose to get the Beauty Fixation Makeup Remover but received the Beauty Fixation cuticle conditioner instead. Are all of these worth $10? Maybe. I know I can get the razor for $5. The Stila and Juicy Couture are free at any makeup counter. Wei products are new to me so I don’t know if free samples of these are handed out too at beauty stores. As for the Beauty Fixation, I think I’ve seen that brand before at CVS for cheap.
What’s your opinion? Please leave me a comment about the products or just to say hi. Let me know if you got an August Birchbox too.
